Which country is best in railway?
Switzerland, Japan, and Germany are often cited as top railway countries. Switzerland excels in punctuality and network integration. Japan is known for its Shinkansen bullet trains. Germany boasts a large, well-maintained, and efficient system. The "best" depends on specific criteria like speed, cost, or accessibility.
Which country has the best railway system? Top-rated trains?
Okay, so the “best” railway system? That’s tricky. Like, what even IS best, ya know? I always find it super subjective.
Switzerland, though? They’re always getting a shoutout. I went Interlaken-Bern a couple years back (July 2021, maybe?), and dang, the trains were ON TIME. Like, scary on time. Efficient, plus the views were insane. I’d heard rumors of their integrated systems, but it’s seriously impressive in person.
Japan’s Shinkansen? Pure speed. Never personally experienced it. But…tech is their thing. Like, seriously. My old coworker, Kenji, from Osaka, swears they’re space-age. But, I bet a ticket costs a pretty penny.
Germany. I actually traveled from Berlin to Munich back in October 2016. I didn’t pay attention but its railway are always on time, well-maintained network too.
I think, “best” depends what you’re after. Punctuality? Scenery? Price? My personal vote, based on my one trip, is Switzerland. But, ya know, that’s just me.
