Ugh, Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City? Tough call. Both amazing, totally different vibes.
Hanoi, I visited last August, felt ancient, steeped in history. Those temples…wow. The food, though? Oh my god, the food. Cheap too, a delicious bowl of Pho for like, 2 bucks.
Ho Chi Minh City, more modern, bustling. Think skyscrapers, crazy motorbike traffic, and a nightlife that never sleeps. I was there in December 2021 and the energy was intense. Felt way more expensive than Hanoi, though.
So, “better”? Depends on you, really. History buff? Hanoi. Party animal? Ho Chi Minh City. I loved them both for different reasons.
