Which taxi is best in Vietnam?

Vietnam's top taxi options include Grab (ride-hailing), Xanh SM (electric), and established brands like Vinasun and Mai Linh. For city-specific choices, consider Futa in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat, and VinaTaxi (also known as Taxi Vietnam) or G7 for broader coverage. Be is another available option. Consider app ratings and availability in your specific location.

Best Taxis in Vietnam: Which to Choose?

Okay, so Vietnam taxis, huh? Been there, done that. My head’s still spinning from trying to figure them all out! Honestly, Grab was my go-to. Easy app, English works, and generally reliable. Paid around 200,000 VND for a trip from the airport to my hotel in Hanoi last October.

Vinasun I used a few times, seemed okayish, a bit older cars maybe? Mai Linh too, similar vibe, nothing stood out amazing or terrible. I didn’t use the others much, just felt more comfortable with Grab.

Xanh SM electric taxis are new, saw them around Ho Chi Minh City in January, but never tried them. They look sleek, though. Futa was only in Dalat for me, remember a decent ride to a lake, cost about 150,000 VND.

Be and G7 – those I mostly saw just advertised everywhere. Never actually used ’em. VinaTaxi…yeah, maybe I caught one once or twice; nothing memorable, honestly. So Grab, for sure, is the easiest for tourists. Hope this helps!
