Why does traveling make me so tired?

Jet lag and long journeys sap energy. Crossing time zones disrupts your circadian rhythm, causing fatigue. Combat travel tiredness by: staying hydrated, taking movement breaks, maintaining good posture, and sticking to a consistent sleep schedule whenever possible.

Why does travel leave me so exhausted?

Travel wipes me out. It’s weird, right? You’d think vacation would be relaxing.

Jet lag is a beast. My trip to Rome last October (17th, I think?) totally messed me up for days. I was dragging.

Crossing time zones throws your body clock off. Like, completely.

Drinking tons of water helps, I’ve found. Also, getting up to walk around on the plane. Even on that cramped flight to Italy.

Trying to sleep on planes never works for me. I arrived in Rome (paid almost $900 for that flight!) feeling like a zombie.

I try to stick to my usual sleep schedule as much as I can. It’s tough, but even little things help.

It’s important to stretch and move around. Sitting for so long stiffens everything up. My back was killing me on that flight.

Travel fatigue is real. Even short trips can be tiring. So many little things add up, you know?
