Why is Google Maps only showing one route?
Why is Google Maps only showing ONE route?! Seriously, it's driving me crazy! It feels so limiting, like I'm on some pre-programmed path I can't deviate from. Remember that time I was trying to get to my sister's house in the mountains? Google Maps swore there was only one way – a winding, terrifying road that took forever! Turns out, there was a perfectly good, faster route, I just had to find it myself, using, like, actual directions from years ago.
Is my GPS glitching? I've had that happen before; last week it sent me to a dead end, and the only reason I figured it out was because I recognized the street sign was wrong. Or is it my internet? It's been a bit dodgy lately. Or, gasp, is it my location services again?! I swear, I check that setting more often than I brush my teeth – which, let's be honest, isn't enough! I just don't get it – surely there's more than one way to skin a cat... or get to Aunt Mildred's house for Sunday dinner. I mean, doesn't Google Maps have access to, like, every single road ever?
It's just… frustrating! It makes me feel helpless, you know? Like I'm a puppet with a single string, and that string is Google. I need options! I need choices! I want to explore! I need to feel like I have control. Ugh. Time to restart my phone, I guess. Maybe that'll fix it. Fingers crossed.
