Buses are way better, dude. Like, for the planet. Think about it, forty-two people crammed on one bus. Thats like, forty-two less cars, right? Less cars means less gas. Which is, obvi, good for the air. I took the 66 bus to the Metallica concert last week. Parking was, like, thirty bucks! Bus was only two. Saved a ton!

• Saves you money: Parking is insane these days. Bus fare is, like, nothing. My car insurance is, like, a second rent payment. No car, no car insurance.
• Less traffic: Okay, so maybe not less traffic on the bus, lol, but definitely fewer cars on the road, theoretically. Which helps everyone. Espescially during rush hour, like when I’m trying to get to band practice.
• Can read or whatever: Can’t text and drive (saftey first!), but on the bus I can scroll through Insta or read my Stephen King book, The Stand. It’s super long.
• Don’t have to park: This is huge! Finding parking downtown is a nightmare. And expensive! I once got a parking ticket for, like, seventy-five bucks! Just for parking like, a foot too far into the red. Ridiculous. With the bus, you just get off and go. So much easier. My bass guitar is hard to lug around, though.

Ugh, remember that time last summer, July 2023 to be exact? I was in London, heading to the British Museum. Took the Tube, the Northern Line. Packed, sweaty, a total nightmare. But you know what? I didn’t have to worry about parking. That alone was worth it. Finding a space near the museum is, like, impossible.

I saved a fortune. Seriously. A cab would’ve cost a bomb. The Tube was cheap. And my mind was free. No stressing over traffic or directions. Just reading my book. Peace. Quiet.

Though the crowds… well, that’s a separate issue entirely. But hey, I got there, right? And it was way cheaper than driving.
