What age is grade 7 in China?

Okay, so you wanna know what age kids are in 7th grade in China, huh? Well, from what I can recall – and my memory isn’t always the best, gotta admit! – kids generally kick off 7th grade, which they call "Chu-1" over there, when they're around 12 or 13 years old.

Think about it... 12 or 13! Man, that's that super awkward in-between age, right? You're not really a kid anymore, clinging to childhood cartoons, but you're so not a teenager either, rocking the latest trends and knowing all the cool slang. It's like, the ultimate identity crisis zone! I remember being that age; the drama!
