What are the U.S. largest 2 agricultural exports?
You know what's crazy? The two biggest agricultural exports from the US are soybeans and corn. Seriously! I was blown away when I first learned that. It’s kind of mind-boggling, right? It makes you wonder…what if some disease wipes out the corn crop one year? So many farmers depend on these two crops – it makes me a little nervous for them, you know? I mean, think about it: over a quarter – 25%! – of the total value of agricultural exports comes from just these two things. I remember seeing a documentary once about a soybean farm in Illinois…massive. Just massive fields stretching as far as you could see. That really brought it home for me, the scale of it all. US agriculture is just…wow.
