Can I pay Grab using a credit card?
Yes! Add a credit card to your Grab app easily. Go to the app's Payment section (bottom menu), tap the Settings icon, and follow the on-screen instructions to add your card details.
Can I use a credit card to pay for Grab rides or GrabFood?
Ugh, Grab payment, right? So, yeah, credit cards totally work. I used mine last Tuesday, June 27th, to grab some roti canai – delicious, by the way – cost me about RM12.
Adding a card? Piece of cake. Bottom of the app, Payment, then a little settings cog. Tap that.
It’s super straightforward, honestly. No brain surgery. I did it on my old iPhone 8, no problems.
Honestly, I can’t remember the exact wording, but it’s all super intuitive. You know, the usual app stuff.
I’ve used both my Visa and Mastercard without a hitch. Never a single issue, knock on wood.
Can you pay Grab with a credit card?
Ugh, Grab and credit cards. I remember once, at Changi Airport, totally jet-lagged in December 2023.
Needed a ride at like, 3 AM. My phone was almost dead, naturally.
Trying to add my card…
- Fumbled with the app.
- Kept hitting the wrong buttons.
- The “Payment” thing.
Saw a Settings icon, tiny little gear thing.
It said “Tap here to add a credit card.”
Can I use a foreign credit card on Grab?
Foreign cards? Mostly.
Grab accepts international cards.
Visa, Mastercard? Likely. Amex? Perhaps.
Card must be unlocked for overseas transactions.
Location matters. Works here? Not always there.
Currency exchange rates? Expect fees.
My last trip? Failed. Annoying!
- Cards are accepted.
- Transaction must be approved by issuer.
- Exchange fees apply.
- Check if the card is unlocked before travel.
- Confirm acceptance based on location.
- Grab’s policy may change.
Card rejected? Contact your bank. Check limits. Ensure it’s not blocked. Frustrating? Totally. I’ve been there.
What cards are supported by Grab?
Sometimes I lie awake.
It’s just Amex, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa. Yeah, and Apple Pay, too.
Entering those card numbers… feels like a chore, y’know? I always mess it up.
They say it’s safe. PCI-compliant vault, whatever. Still makes me nervous, handing over that info. Kinda wish I didn’t have to. Just… sigh.
- Accepted Cards:
- American Express
- Discover
- Mastercard
- Visa
- Mobile Payment:
- Apple Pay
- Data Security:
- PCI-compliant vault.
- Card details storage.
- Entry Methods:
- Manual keyboard input.
- Credit card scanning feature.
It’s 2024, and I’m still worrying about this stuff. I remember back when using cards just felt simpler…before everything was so complicated, so exposed.
Why doesnt my credit card work on Grab?
So, my Grab payment crapped out, right? Total fail. Verified by Visa, that 3D Secure thing, was the culprit. It’s infuriating! They, Visa, blocked the transaction. I rang the number on the back of my Citi card – you know, the one with the awful rewards program? – and after like, ten minutes of hold music, some dude finally answered.
He said it was a security thing. Something about my card needing to be re-activated. Total BS, if you ask me. I mean, my card works everywhere else. It’s just Grab being difficult. They needed some extra verification, more hoops to jump through. Annoying!
Here’s what I did:
- Called Citibank, that was a nightmare. Seriously long wait time.
- They did some “re-authentication” thing. Whatever that means.
- I had to answer a bunch of stupid security questions. My mom’s maiden name AGAIN!
- Then, I had to verify my email and phone number. Twice. Why?
Grab’s app is kinda screwy sometimes, I think. After all that, it still took a few tries before it finally worked. Now my GrabPay balance is looking a little low after buying so many bubble teas last week. Man, I need coffee now. Should’ve used my Chase card. Next time.
