It’s not just about losing money, although that’s bad enough – I read about this poor lady last year who lost her life savings to some Bitcoin scam. It’s the invasion of privacy, you know? That feeling of total vulnerability. Imagine someone getting into your personal photos, your emails, your whole life… It’s sickening. Then there’s the reputational damage. A data breach could ruin your business, or even your personal life. I remember a friend whose company got hit – they spent months cleaning up the mess and lost tons of clients.

And the constant anxiety? That’s the worst part, I think. It’s always in the back of your mind – am I next? Will I be the one whose bank account gets emptied or whose identity gets stolen?
