Can I transfer money to another person with Apple Pay?

Ugh, Apple Pay transfers! Okay, so if I wanted to send you some cash using my iPhone, Id have to dive into the Wallet app first. Find that Apple Cash card lurking in there, tap on it, and then look for the Send or Request option. The tricky part is either finding your name in my contacts or manually adding you. After that, I guess its just typing in the amount and hoping I dont accidentally send you my life savings! It all feels so… impersonal, you know? I prefer a good old-fashioned Venmo request, honestly.

Apple Pay transfers… ugh, where do I even begin? So, let’s say I owe you money. I have to open my Wallet app (which, let’s be real, is a black hole of loyalty cards I never use). Then, I have to find my Apple Cash card… it’s always hiding in there somewhere, right? Tap, tap, tap… okay, found it. Then I have to find the “Send or Request” button. And then – and this is the worst part – I have to either find you in my contacts (good luck if your name is even remotely common!) or manually add your info. Like, what if I mess up a digit? Suddenly, I’m sending my rent money to a stranger. No thanks! After all that, finally, I can type in the amount. But, honestly? My heart is always pounding a little bit, like what if I accidentally add an extra zero? I’m picturing myself sending you, like, $500 instead of $50. Nightmare! It just feels so… clinical? Detached? You know? Like, remember that time I spotted you for coffee and you just Venmo’d me back instantly with a little coffee cup emoji? So much easier! I really do prefer a good old Venmo request. It feels more… human. More friendly. Apple Pay just feels like I’m wiring money to an offshore account or something. Too serious!
