Okay, so. Ugh, baggage check-in. My horrible experience at Denver Intl. Airport, like, last June.

We were flying Frontier, and honestly? A mess. My flight to Fort Lauderdale departed at 6:00 pm. I wanted to get there EARLY to chill, so I rocked up at the check-in counters around 2:00 pm.

Big mistake! Big, HUGE mistake. The lady said, all smiles (fake smiles!), “We only take bags within four hours of your flight.” Four freaking hours. No earlier. I was stranded.

I ended up lugging my suitcase (it weighed a ton, I swear) all over the terminal! So much for relaxing.

Things I learned THAT DAY:

• Frontier has a strict time window. No early birds allowed. I think it’s similar with other budget airlines.
• Don’t assume all airlines are the same. Always check the rules BEFORE! I feel so dumb now.
• Denver airport is HUGE. Seriously, prepare to walk. Or take the train!
• Bring a book. And maybe a massage therapist, lol. I was so annoyed that day.
• If check-in closes? You’re probably screwed. I wouldn’t bank on still boarding, that’s for sure.

So yeah, 4 hours max ahead of the flight with luggage.

Oh, and if you’re late? Game over. Bag stays home. Your trip…might not happen. I’m sure there are exceptions, but just don’t risk it!

Ugh, adding bags later? Nightmare! Happened to me last July, flying Ryanair from Dublin to Stansted. Total chaos!
