Can I stay in Vietnam for longer than 30 days?

Yes, you can stay in Vietnam for longer than 30 days. A 3-month (90-day) single-entry visa allows for a continuous stay. Be aware that if you exit Vietnam during this period, the visa becomes invalid. To stay beyond 90 days, you must apply for a visa extension.

Vietnam visa extension: Can I stay longer than 30 days?
So, can you actually, like, overstay your 30 days in Vietnam? It's kinda tricky, you know.
That 3-month visa I got once, back in maybe 2019, I think it was for Hanoi, cost me maybe fifty bucks.
It let me in just once, right. For a full 90 days, not just a month.
But the thing is, if I'd hopped over to Cambodia even for a day trip, poof, gone. The visa would have been toast.
So yeah, if you want to hang out longer than those 90 days, you absolutely have to sort out an extension.
They don't just let you keep staying; it's not how it works, apparently.
