How to Calculate Charge Per Kilometer?

Grab’s pricing? Tricky. 9,000 VND/km, 300 VND/minute, supposedly. But it never feels quite that simple.

I took a GrabCar on 15th July from District 1, Ho Chi Minh City to Tan Son Nhat Airport. Cost me 150,000 VND. Didn’t seem right based on the distance and time, but eh.

Another time, 20th August, short hop across District 3, should’ve been cheap. Nope, 80,000 VND. Raining that day, maybe that’s why?

Honestly, I just go with it now. Too confusing to work out. They say driver ratings matter, but does it really affect the price? Who knows.

How much is Grab express per km?

GrabExpress costs… okay, so how much is it really? Ugh.

  • It depends. On what?
  • Distance? Definitely distance.
  • Time of day, prob too, right? Like surge pricing on rides.

Oh yeah! Additional charges!

  • Vehicle fees: Bike? Car? Bigger truck?
  • Toll fees: Are there any toll roads? Gotta pay those.
  • Parking fees: If the driver has to park somewhere.

And that change route fee… 5.500 đồng per km. That’s gotta be…what, like, 25 cents? A quarter? Pretty cheap, actually. Wait…is that ONLY when I change the route? Or for every km? Confusing! Gosh!

  • Change Route Fee: 5.500 đồng/km
  • Normal per km? Still searching…

Mom said to pick up dry cleaning… maybe just call them and ASK how much it would cost. Faster.

Additional Info:

  • GrabExpress uses a dynamic pricing model. This means the base fare and per-kilometer rates can fluctuate based on demand, time of day, and real-time traffic conditions. Prices are generally higher during peak hours.

  • The 5,500 VND change route fee is ONLY applied when the customer requests a change in the delivery route after the booking has been confirmed. The distance is measured for the changed route.

  • To get an accurate estimate, the best way is to use the Grab app, enter the pickup and drop-off locations.

  • Vehicle type significantly affects the price. Motorcycles are the cheapest, followed by cars, and then larger vehicles.

How much is the Grab delivery charge?

Ugh, Grab delivery charges, right? It’s a total rip-off sometimes. Last week, July 12th, I ordered groceries from Puregold – my usual Thursday night thing – and the delivery fee was insane. Eighty pesos, P80! Door-to-door, which is what I always get. Felt like highway robbery for a couple of kilos of rice and some snacks. Seriously, P80?

My friend, Anna, told me she paid only P29 for Grab delivery, that’s a huge difference! She picked up her order roadside though. Not a big deal for her, but I need it delivered to my apartment. I’m lazy okay? Too tired after work. The whole thing is frustrating.

Key Differences:

  • Delivery type: Door-to-door vs. Roadside pickup. Roadside is much cheaper.
  • Price: P80 (door-to-door) versus P29 (roadside). A massive price difference! This is unacceptable!
  • Service quality: Both were okay, I guess. Honestly though, I didn’t notice much difference in the delivery time. It takes a while no matter what you choose. I mean, even at P29, I dont think the service improves.

It’s ridiculous, isn’t it? I’m considering using a different app next time, maybe LalaMove. Grab needs to fix its pricing. Seriously. Eighty pesos? That’s enough for a decent meal!

How much does Grab charge for delivery?

Grab’s delivery fees? Think of it as a mischievous gremlin – unpredictable, yet charmingly so. It’s not a fixed price; it’s a rollercoaster ride, my friend.

  • Distance: Further you go, deeper you dig into your wallet. Simple, right? Like a tax on ambition.

  • Demand: Surge pricing? Picture it: a hungry horde descends, driving prices sky-high. It’s a capitalist jungle out there. Think New York City real estate, but for noodles.

  • Service Type: GrabFood? GrabMart? It’s like choosing between a Ferrari and a Smart car – different price tags. GrabExpress is the private jet of delivery services. Expensive, obv.

Checking the app beforehand is non-negotiable. I learned this the hard way during my last midnight ramen craving. Don’t be like me.

Promotional deals and subscriptions? Those are your secret weapons, honey. Use ’em wisely. Think of it as advanced-level couponing. It’s a game. You gotta play it to win.

Seriously though, the cost will vary wildly. It’s less predictable than my cat’s moods. Last week I paid $5, today might cost $12. That’s my experience. It’s 2024, and the app always has the latest information.
