One-day trips? A joke! You’ll spend more time on the freakin’ bus than actually in Ha Long Bay. It’s like trying to eat an entire pizza in one bite. A messy, inefficient, ultimately disappointing experience. My cousin tried it, looked like a drowned rat by the end.
Here’s the deal:
- Two days is the MINIMUM. Unless you enjoy staring at blurry photos of limestone karsts on your phone.
- Three days is ideal. Perfect for kayaking, cave exploring (which is far less terrifying than a root canal, I can assure you) and maybe even finding a hidden beach with a secret stash of delicious Banh Mi.
- More than three days? You’re officially a Ha Long Bay expert. Expect intense staring contests from the locals. They’ll know you’ve been there long enough to know their secrets…like the whereabouts of the best seafood. Seriously.
Pro-Tip: Pack waterproof pants, or at least some really absorbent underwear. You’ll thank me later. Trust me. I’m practically a Ha Long Bay deity now.
