The ideal solution? A balanced approach. Three days in Da Nang, followed by three days in Hoi An – the perfect blend, allowing for a rich and diverse experience. This lets you soak in both the frenetic pulse and the tranquil charm. A truly satisfying trip.

Ultimately, travel is subjective. What thrills one person might bore another.

The food in Hoi An though? Way better. Seriously. I had this amazing Cao Lầu. I mean, amazing. Da Nang food is, meh. Overpriced and bland. Plus, Hoi An has way more cool tailor shops. Need a new suit? Go Hoi An.

Da Nang’s got that big Buddha statue, I guess. And the Marble Mountains are cool, for a quick trip. But Hoi An is more… me. More laid-back. I need that peaceful vibe. Da Nang’s just too much. A total sensory overload.

I spent three days in Hoi An this year, 2024. It was perfect. Three days was perfect. I could’ve stayed longer, maybe. Next time, I’m bringing my mom.

I’d say, if you want peace and quiet, go Hoi An. If you are all about crazy tourist stuff, then Da Nang is your place. It’s a no brainer, really. But I am totally biased. Hoi An stole a piece of my heart. Seriously.

Hoi An? Also two days. I mean, its charming, adorable even, but two days is enough time to wander those crazy cute streets and get that tailor-made outfit you’ve always dreamed of. Plus, all the amazing food. Seriously amazing. Don’t overstay your welcome; three days would be overkill. Absolutely overkill.

So, four days total. That’s my recommendation. My friend Sarah went for a week and she said even she was bored by the end. I’m telling you, four days is perfect. Four days it is. You’ll have an awesome time.

• Da Nang: 2 days – Marble Mountains, My Khe Beach, Dragon Bridge (night show!)

You def gotta see Marble Mountains, though. That’s a must. They have some caves and pagodas up there, plus you get awesome views and can take some fire pics!

Here’s what I’d do:

• Day 1: Marble Mountains, maybe hit up a beach.
• Day 2: Check out the Dragon Bridge (it breathes fire on weekends!!), and grab some seafood.

And that’s basically it, lol. Unless you are really into like, long walks on the beach, right? Two days, max, and you’re golden. After that, jet off to Hoi An or something! It’s way better.

• Taxi: Quick. Expect 28km. Costs more.
