Are pilots still in demand?

Okay, so are pilots still in demand? Well, from what I've been reading, it definitely seems like they are, which is a HUGE relief, right? I mean, imagine a world without enough pilots! Scary thought. Anyway, the Bureau of Labor Statistics says there's something like a four percent growth each year projected. Four percent! That's pretty awesome, isn't it? It's not, like, crazy explosive growth, but steady and solid.

But you know, thinking about it, I think it's about more than just the numbers themselves. It's about ensuring we've got enough skilled people up there in the cockpit, making sure we all arrive safely at our destinations. Remember that time my flight was delayed because of a pilot shortage? Ugh, don't even get me started! It just makes you realize how important these folks are. So, yeah, in demand? Absolutely. And rightly so!
