What is the speed limit in the UAE?

Okay, so from what I gather, the speed limits in the UAE are a bit of a wild ride! On freeways and rural roads, it seems like you can cruise anywhere between 100 to 160 km/h, which honestly sounds exhilarating, but also maybe a bit nerve-wracking. Then in cities, it drops quite a bit, down to 60-80 km/h on dual carriageways and even lower in residential areas. Id probably stick to the lower end of those ranges, just to be safe and avoid any unexpected surprises, you know?

Okay, so speed limits in the UAE, right? It’s a little crazy, honestly. Like, on the big open roads, the freeways and stuff, you can apparently go flying—something between 100 and 160 km/h! Can you even imagine? I mean, part of me thinks that would be SO FUN, just zooming along. But then the other part of me is like, “Nope, too scary!” I’d probably be white-knuckling it the whole time.

Then, boom, you hit the city and suddenly it’s way slower. Sixty to eighty on those bigger, wider roads (what are they called, dual carriageways?), and even less in neighborhoods. Which makes sense, of course. Kids playing, people walking their dogs… you don’t want to be speeding around then. Honestly, even on the bigger roads, I think I’d stick closer to 60. You just never know, right? Like that one time I was driving in Italy – totally different place, I know – and this car just shot out of nowhere. Scared me half to death! So yeah, better safe than sorry. Especially in a place I’m not completely familiar with. I’d rather enjoy the scenery than worry about getting a ticket, or worse.
