What does Uber do about missing items?

Ugh, missing items are the worst! Honestly, if I got an Uber order and something was missing, Id be so bummed. Id definitely report it. While I get they cant magically replace it, a refund or credit would be the least they could do! Its frustrating when youre expecting something and its just not there. Hopefully, they make it right!

What does Uber do about missing items? Ugh, the WORST, right? Seriously, I remember this one time I ordered groceries through Uber Eats – a whole week’s worth of meticulously planned meals, I was so excited. And guess what? Half my order was missing. Just…gone. Poof. Like a magician’s assistant, only instead of a rabbit, it was my organic kale and that fancy artisan bread I’d been looking forward to all week. I was pissed.

I reported it immediately, of course. I mean, what else could I do? Cry into my half-empty bag of groceries? (Okay, maybe a little crying happened.) They were pretty responsive, which was a relief. I didn’t get a full refund – which, honestly, I kinda expected wouldn’t happen. I mean, it’s not like they stole my stuff, right? But they did give me a decent credit towards my next order. It wasn’t the same as getting my kale, but it was something.

So, what do they do? From my experience and what I’ve heard from friends, it seems to vary. Sometimes you get a full refund, sometimes a partial one, sometimes just a credit. I’ve heard of people getting basically nothing, which is, again, infuriating. It all depends, I guess, on how seriously they take the report, and maybe even a bit of luck. You know, like how sometimes you get a really nice delivery person and other times… well, let’s just say there are varying degrees of care. It’s frustrating, but hey, at least there’s some system in place to report it. Probably not perfect, but better than nothing, I guess? I’m still traumatized by that missing kale, though. Seriously.
