What freight class is 50?

Okay, so freight class 50... thats usually for the really heavy-duty stuff, like bricks or a whole pallet of hardware. I wouldnt expect to see my online shopping orders shipped with that code! Its more for industrial materials. That makes sense, I guess, considering how pricey it would be to ship smaller consumer goods at that weight-based rate. Honestly, Im glad my packages fall into a different category!

Freight class 50? Hmm, now that’s a hefty one. Makes me think of, like, a pallet of bricks. Or maybe a giant crate of engine parts. Seriously, heavy stuff! Remember that time I ordered that ridiculously heavy cast iron skillet? It felt like freight class 50, even though it probably wasn’t. (It did cost a fortune to ship though, so maybe I wasn’t too far off!) You definitely wouldn’t see your average Amazon order rocking a class 50 designation. Can you imagine? Paying freight class 50 rates for a couple of books? Ouch. My wallet just started crying. It’s more for, you know, industrial stuff. Raw materials, construction supplies…things like that. Which, I guess, makes sense. The heavier the shipment, the more it costs to move. It’s all about weight and density with freight class, isn’t it? So, yeah, 50 is way up there. I’m pretty happy my online shopping haul doesn’t usually fall into that category. Thank goodness for small mercies, right?
