How much is high speed train from Beijing to Kunming?

Whoa, Beijing to Kunming by high-speed train? That's a trek! 851.5 yuan to over three thousand?! (3623 to be exact, yikes!). That's... a bit of a difference, isn't it? I mean, what makes that top price so high? Maybe a fancy private cabin with a hot tub? (Just kidding... probably.)

Eleven to fifteen hours is a long time to be on a train, though. I remember that one time I took an overnight train in, um... where was it? Somewhere in Eastern Europe. Couldn't sleep a wink. But these Chinese high-speed trains, I hear they’re super comfy. So, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

Second class is definitely the way to go for me, unless I suddenly win the lottery or something. Who can justify spending that much? Though, sometimes you gotta treat yourself, right? It's still pretty amazing, honestly, to think you can just zip across a huge country like China on a train like that. Imagine the scenery!
