Which JR lines have green cars?

Ive heard those fancy Green Cars are mainly on the Shinkansen bullet trains and some limited express routes. Honestly, though, regular Japanese trains are already so comfortable! Splurging on a Green Car feels a bit excessive, unless Im traveling a long distance and craving some extra legroom – or maybe Im just feeling flush with cash and want to treat myself. Is it really that much better? Im a bit skeptical.

Okay, so you wanna know which JR lines have those Green Cars, huh? Well, from what I understand, those fancy Green Cars – you know, the ones with the extra comfy seats – they’re mostly on the Shinkansen bullet trains. Makes sense, right? Long distances, you want a bit more luxury. You can also find them on some of the limited express routes too.

But honestly? Regular Japanese trains are already pretty darn comfortable! I mean, compared to some of the stuff I’ve ridden elsewhere in the world, they’re practically a dream. So, splurging on a Green Car… I don’t know, it feels a bit… extra? Unless, of course, I was going on a REALLY long trip. Like, Tokyo to Hokkaido long. Then, yeah, maybe I’d consider it. Extra legroom, peace and quiet…sounds tempting.

Or, you know, if I just happened to be feeling particularly flush with cash that day! Like, “Oh, what the heck, I’ll treat myself” kinda day. But is it really that much better? I’ve only ridden in one once, years ago, and I honestly don’t remember it being life-changing. Maybe my expectations were too high, I don’t know! I’m a bit skeptical, to be honest. What do you think? Have you ever ridden in a Green Car? Was it worth it? I’m genuinely curious!
